The Board has received numerous complaints from residents concerning the perception that deed restriction violations are not being handled properly or that nothing is being done to correct the violations. Since deed restriction violations are considered confidential we do not discuss violations in the open meetings or with non-board members but we would like to assure our residents that we do actively pursue violations to the extent we are allowed by law.
Several years ago we had a Deed Restriction Committee made up of at least one board member and any interested resident volunteers . This committee would meet at least once a month to review all current deed restriction violations, remove any listed violations that have been cleared up and make recommendations to the board for further action if required.
Over the past several months there has been a renewed interest in reviving the Deed Restriction Committee. If you would be interested in being a part of the Deed Restriction Committee please email board@oakwoodglen.net or attend the next board meeting.
Please note that resident committee members will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
